The Yaalika Story
Welcome to Yaalika, a place where tradition and passion comes together to create something truly special. Our story starts with the Simha Yali, a legendary creature from South Indian tales, famous for fiercely guarding sacred temples. Inspired by this loyal protector, we’ve taken up our own mission: to keep the timeless art of Kancheepuram weaving alive and thriving.
Anjali Rajasree
Founder / Creative Lead
Anjali Rajasree's path to fashion was anything but conventional—she forged her own unique route into the industry. Raised in a typical middle-class family, she was immersed in various art forms from an early age, which cultivated her creative sensibilities. Without any formal design education, she gradually honed her skills as a makeup artist and stylist, building expertise through years of hands-on experience.
Through this journey of growth and learning, her brand Yaalika has successfully gained the trust and loyalty of brides and fashion-forward women, establishing itself as a go-to destination for those seeking professional styling.

Our Inspiration
At the core of Yaalika are our artisans—talented weavers who bring heart and skill to every saree they craft. To them, it’s more than just a job; it’s a calling. They see themselves as keepers of a craft that’s been loved for centuries, much like the Simha Yali stands watch over the temples. With every thread they weave, they’re breathing life into traditions, making sure the stories and skills get handed down to the next generation.

Our Heritage
Our sarees aren’t just pieces of cloth—they’re treasures made from the finest silk and zari, each one with its own story to tell. When you drape a Yaalika around you, it’s like carrying a bit of that bold energy—almost like a guardian by your side, whispering reminders of your own resilience and grace.
